Pawsitive Reading

Pawsitive Reading is our exciting new program designed to get children excited about reading and help socialize adoptable animals. This free program allows kids and their families to come to our building or our occasional events at the library and sit with adoptable cats and dogs and practice reading. If you are looking to participate in this program at our building, please note that we only have cats and kittens in our building. If you are allergic to cats, or have a child who is only interested in reading to dogs, we will have dogs at our Pawsitive Reading events. In order to participate, you must go through a very brief session where you and your child will learn about animal body language and how to interact with the animals and sign a waiver stating you agree to the terms. Please see below for our upcoming Pawsitive Reading event dates as well as our waiver so you can skip the line and register ahead of time!
