Spay & Neuter Programs
Helping Create a Healthier Future for Pets in Our Community
Pet overpopulation is preventable. Every year, thousands of animals enter shelters because of accidental litters and a lack of access to affordable veterinary care. By choosing to spay or neuter your pet, you are helping reduce shelter overcrowding, improve animal health, and save lives throughout our community.
The Humane Society of Valdosta-Lowndes County is proud to offer affordable spay and neuter services to help local families provide the care their pets deserve.
- Cats: $25 — Includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, microchip, and HCP vaccine
- Dogs: $35 — Includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, microchip, and DHPP vaccine
When scheduling, select “Add Package” to receive the $25 cat or $35 dog pricing.
3 Reasons to Spay & Neuter Your Pet
Why spaying or neutering your pet makes a lifesaving difference.
Through our partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation Fix the Future Initiative, we provide affordable spay and neuter services for pets in the Valdosta-Lowndes County community.
All surgeries are performed locally by board-certified veterinarians. Our program follows standards modeled after the ASPCA Humane Alliance to help ensure every pet receives safe, high-quality care.
Prevents Accidental Litters
Spaying and neutering helps reduce unwanted litters and the number of animals entering shelters, creating a healthier community for pets in need.
Supports Better Health
These procedures can lower the risk of certain cancers and infections, helping pets live healthier lives while potentially reducing future veterinary expenses.
Reduces Unwanted Behaviors
Spaying and neutering can help reduce behaviors such as aggression, roaming, and spraying, making pets happier and easier to care for.
