How to Make a Gift

In order to leave a legacy gift for The Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County, simply include a provision in your will providing the type and/or amount you would like to donate to us. It can be almost anything- property, money, bank accounts, securities, retirement accounts, jewelry, works of art, collectibles/antiques, and more.

While this doesn’t have to be a complicated document, it’s important that specific language is included and it’s best if your attorney assists you with preparing this documentation. A well-drafted document allows you to insure that the things you held most valuable are properly taken care of and, in the case of legacy giving, provide as much benefit to the animals in need as possible.
