Azalea Festival Pet Competition

Dear fellow pet lovers,
We are pleased to announce that the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes
County will be attending the 2021 Valdosta-Lowndes Azalea Festival at Drexel Park on
Saturday, March 13 th, and Sunday, March 14 th . Drexel Park is located at 1401 N
Patterson St, Valdosta, Georgia 31601. You can find us in the Kids Zone!
At the festival, we will be offering our new microchipping and registration service
for $25 with no appointment necessary. Microchipping your pet is a safe, precautionary
measure to ensure that your pet can find their way home to you. One in three pets will
become lost at some point in their life. According to 2020 statistics, 1651 animals
admitted to the Lowndes County Animal Shelter were considered strays. Within 1651,

Registration starts from 10 am to 2 pm each day. Our special guest judges are Saralyn
Wallace and Amanda Hall from the Southern Hound Club. They will be choosing
winners in the following categories: Best Style, Most Talented, Most Obedient, Cutest,
