| Billboards to promote the Valdosta/Lowndes County Humane Society Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program have been designed and will be put up in the area. Thank you Jolane Sullivan and Fairway Outdoor Advertising! We would also like to thank those who donated funds specifically to make these advertisements happen! Look for them on Highway 41 and Bemis Road locations! ACT Program is gearing up for their fundraiser Bark in the Park our ACT Fundraiser will be held Sept. 17th from 11 AM – 2 PM. Melissa Alderman our Program Coordinator works hard every day to help those animals in our community that are victims of abuse and neglect. Bark in the Park is a fun way to help the ACT Program build their funds to help these animals throughout the year. Our Low Cost Spay Neuter Program continues to help families in the community keep their animals healthy and litter free! ;-) Paul Sherman our SNAP Program guru manages numerous calls and is able to refer those families to our local veterinarians to help defer the high cost of spaying and/or neutering their pets. JC Cowart has offered to donate property to the VLCHS! This may be a location for a future clinic or it could also be a possible fundraising option for our organization. We are grateful and welcome the donation and the families willingness to consider the VLCHS as worthy cause. Belks Kids Fest August 13th from 12 PM- 3 PM. The Lowndes County Animals Shelter will be bringing out some of their animals for adoption. VLCHS will also hold our famous “Humane Yard Sale” at the office Saturday August 13th 8 AM -12 PM. VLCHS will be at Books –A-Million Aug 20th, Sept 17th, Oct 15th, Nov 19th Between the hours of 12 PM- 4 PM during these days Books-A-Million will donate 10% of all sales to our the Humane Society. We look forward to new and old members renewing their membership and helping us “speak for those who cannot speak for themselves!”
