Who We Are

The Humane Society is a group of concerned individuals who came together in September 1989, and established an organization which has grown to over 900 members strong. Many volunteers work out of their homes and out of the goodness of their hearts, and many are involved in helping hurt or stranded animals in the community. Some members provide foster homes for animals until good permanent homes can be found, and others stay busy with the never ending task of fundraising.

In keeping with our motto, "We Speak for those who can not speak for themselves", Humane Society members give animals a voice by bringing an awareness to the community of problems that face the animal population, and also diligently work to find solutions to these problems. The Humane Society is committed to improving the lives of animals, while also striving to eliminate pet overpopulation and animal abuse.

Please note: the Humane Society is not an animal shelter, and does not accept animal drop off. The building is an Outreach and Administrative Office for the Humane Society.
